Mary Ida Parker Carr, 83, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 at East Pavilion, Franklin. She was a daughter of the late Reddick Parker and Ella May Bryant Parker and the widow of Raleigh Lee Carr. She was predeceased by her sisters, Florence Babb, Mae Meade, and Lula Cole and brothers, Brutus Parker and Beamon Parker. Mary previously worked for Taggert Corporation, (St. Regis) and eventually became a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary for the Carrsville Fire Department and enjoyed cooking for them in her spare time. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Carr; son, Ricky Carr; grandchild, Jessica Carr; niece, Francis Babb and nephew, Barry McFadden.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 in Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Al Yeatman officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Sunday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. Please come dressed casually. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carrsville Fire Department.
