Norfolk – Mary Leigh Hill Kitchen, 85, passed away January 12, 2021 in her home.  Born in Newsoms, she was a daughter of the late Edward Carson Hill and Sarah Vaughan Hill.  Mary Leigh was also predeceased by her son Todd Kitchen; a sister, Sarah Lee Darden; and a brother Roy Carson Hill.

Left to cherish her memory is two daughters, Joni Lynn Jarvis of Virginia Beach and June A. Schmalfeldt and her husband Phil of Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Tiffany Lewis, Corey Lewis, Christopher Jarvis, Joshua Zinner, Chelsea Zinner, and Taylor Wolfe; seven great grandchildren; her sister, Peggy Toler of Franklin; and nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11AM Monday, January 18, 2021 in Southampton Memorial Park with Rev. Jimmy Thornton officiating.
