Sedley- Mary Ann Harrell, 72, passed away on January 24, 2014 at Autumn Care of Suffolk. She was born in Southampton County on March 21, 1941 and was predeceased by her mother and step-father, Mary and Roy Brooks, her father, Shelton Holt, her son, Michael Lee Harrell and brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Sue Holt.
Mary Ann was very passionate about music and played the piano and organ at church and for other social events in her earlier years. She was a member of Sedley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Meredith Ray Harrell of Zuni; sister, Nelda Holt Johnson and her husband, Charlie, of Tarboro, NC; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. Arrangements are being handled by Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
