Franklin – Mary Frances Gehl Eckenrode, 92, passed away October 15, 2017 in the East Pavilion. Mrs. Eckenrode was born in Johnstown ,PA to the late Anthony Joseph and Frances Mary Adams Gehl. Mr. and Mrs. Eckenrode were formerly of Waynesboro,VA. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She was a member of the Quilters Group, enjoyed painting and making Father Christmases.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband James A. Eckenrode, four daughters, Barbara Schaefer, Frances M. Eckenrode, Maria Sing (Calvin) and Margaret Sorenson and one son James P. Eckenrode (Kim), seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 11AM Thursday October 19, 2017 in St. Jude Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Saglio officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 7:30PM at Wright Funeral Home.
