Pendleton, NC – Mary Greene Boone, 72, passed away August 5, 2018 at her home. Mary was a native of Hertford Co. NC and was a daughter of the late Clarence Lee Greene, Sr. and Gustavia Channing Greene.

Mary was a 1964 graduate of Conway High School and was retired from Little People's University in Murfreesboro, NC. Although she was Baptist, she was loaded every morning on caffeine-free diet coke from McDonalds.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years Joe F. Boone, four daughters, Cheryl B. McCloy (Kevin) of Morganton, NC, Mary Jo Boone of Murfreesboro, NC, Tammy M. Blake of Harbinger, NC and Lori B. Boris (Gary) of Courtland, VA, two sisters, Lois Rogerson and Betty Greene, two brothers, Clarence Greene, Jr and Bobby Greene, eight grandchildren, Tanya, Savannah and Cassie Revelle, Kayla and Joseph McCloy, Amanda Blake, Victoria Wrenn, Alexa and Garrett Boris.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday August 10, 2018 in Wright Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel with Rev. David Ross officiating.
