Carrsville – Marvin Curtis Darden, 73, passed away December 3, 2013. He was a son of the late Rufus and Dorothy Piland Darden. Mr. Darden was a retired Machinist on #1 Paper Machine in the Paper Mill Department of Union Camp Corporation.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Kim D. Vansant (Bobby), of Courtland; his sons, Lin Darden (Lois), of Sunbeam, Marvin Brent Darden, of Boykins and Lyn Pinner (Jennifer), of Walters; his brother, Raymond Darden, of Carrsville; ten grandchildren, Jessica Duke, Brittney Harrell, Emily Vansant, Tommy Pope (Kristen), Erin Gunn (Kevin), Tara Darden, Lindsay Pinner, Austin Pinner, Patrick Pinner and Wyatt Pinner and six great-grandchildren, Gabriel Harrell, Braylen Harrell, Ryland Defoor, Brooklyn Walters, Kyleigh Gunn and Rhiannon Pope.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Worth officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and suggests memorial may be made to your local American Cancer Society. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
