Emporia – Margaret Christine "Chris" Stalls Whitehead, 80, died June 17, 2019 in her home.  Born in Pitt County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Daniel David Stalls and Bertha Scott Stalls and was also predeceased by her husband Charles Harley "Charlie" Whitehead; her first husband Richard Reynolds; two sisters Hazel Alvez-Reid and Marie Hefferman; and six brothers Bruton, Coy, Dewey, Earl, Milton, and J.D. Stalls.  Chris was a retired weaver from Waverly Textiles in Emporia.

She is survived by two sons Richard "Ricky" Reynolds, Jr. (Robin) of Rocky Mount, NC, and Robert "Bobby" Reynolds (Shelly) of Elm City, NC.; two sisters Earsie Boone of Maryland and Linda Robbins of South Carolina; five grandchildren Tyler Reynolds, Ashley Ross (Blake), Dustin Reynolds, Jeremey Reynolds (Reagan), and Bobbi Gwaltney (Jake); seven great grandchildren with two more on the way; and her beloved dog "Punkin".

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2019 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Tom Williams officiating.  Burial will be held following the service in Greensville Memorial Cemetery in Emporia.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.   www.wrightfuneralhome.org
