Suffolk – Margaret Austin Tyler, 93, passed away April 22, 2026 in her home with family by her side.  Born in Gates County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Lee Austin and Corrie Hollowell Austin.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Robert Lee Tyler and a grandson, Devin M. Collins.

Margaret was a former secretary for Pond Brothers Peanut Company.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Sharon Tyler (Billy Ellis); a son, Michael Lee Collins (Jeanette); a step-son, Barry Lee Tyler; five grandchildren, Stephanie Reyman, Justin Collins, Leah Collins, Mikayla B. Bates (Harrison), and Hailey S. Bradshaw; a great grandchild, Shiloh; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
