ZUNI - Margaret J. Johnson, 91, a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, passed away June 28, 2016. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Otelia Johnson, and was predeceased by her husband, Fredrick R. Johnson, her sister Emma Damon and brother James Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Windsor High School and served on the Board at Community Electric Cooperative from August 1980 thru August 1995. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, where she served as secretary for many years.

Survivors include daughter Ginny Eley (Robert) and son Robert Johnson (Sandy), four grandchildren, Kristy DeJarnette (Luke), Blair Dixon (Paul), Laura Sullivan (Andrew) and Whitney Cutchin and five great grandchildren, Dominic, Baylee and Jake Dixon, Tenley and Lane DeJarnette and Easton Cutchin. Also surviving are two sisters, Myrtle May and JoAnn Seay and many other beloved nieces and nephews.

The funeral will take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Christian Church with Rev. Curt Faison officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery.
