Franklin - Margaret Duffy Houle, 93, passed away on May 2, 2019 at James River Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Newport News.

Born on September 20, 1925 in Isle of Wight County, Margaret was the daughter of the late Walter Hargett and Dora Avie Bobbitt Duffy.  She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Robert John "Bob" Houle, two sisters, Dora Duck and Louise Duffy, and four brothers, William, Walter, George and Kenneth Duffy.  Margaret was a graduate of Carrsville High School and a member of Windsor Christian Church.  She was a homemaker and devoted Mama and Nana.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Theresa Beale (Robert) of Windsor and Sandy Bradshaw (Keith) of Yorktown.  She will be deeply missed by her three grandchildren, Meagan Lynch (Patrick) of Yorktown, Cody Bradshaw of Newport News and Courtney Roggmann (Michael) of Windsor and her special great granddaughter, Avie Lynch.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at East Pavilion and James River for their wonderful care and compassion.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to James River Convalescent & Rehabilitation Center, c/o Shawn Hanberry, 540 Aberthaw Avenue, Newport News, Virginia 23601 (please designate the Resident Activity Fund).
