Franklin-Margaret Harrell Bryant, 78, passed away September 24, 2016. She was born March 20, 1938 in Sussex County to the late Arthur N. and Alice Lewis Harrell. She was the widow of Ben J. Bryant, Sr.

She was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church until its closure and was a current member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church. Over the years Margaret's professional career included bookkeeping, eye care technician and real estate agent. Margaret and Ben were avid ballroom dancers and competed in numerous competitions where she won many awards. She was an accomplished seamstress and artist.

She is survived by her son, Ben Bryant, Jr and wife Sandy, grandsons, West Bryant and wife Sam, Jonathan Bryant and wife Sarah, great grandsons, Mason and Cooper Bryant, sister, Pat H. Padgett, niece, Susan P. Goodrich and husband Douglas, great niece and nephew, Ashley and Jason Goodrich.

The family would like to thank four caregivers, Stephanie Johnson, Betty Jean Whitby, Kayla Chandler and Terry Parris and a special nurse, Samantha Dowd.

A funeral will be held at 3pm Wednesday September 28, 2016 at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James H. Hyatt, Jr. officiating. The burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to CHKD. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
