Franklin – Mamie Taylor Smith Craft, 85, passed away July 11, 2014. She was born in North Carolina to the late Daniel Russell and Mary Robeson Taylor and was predeceased by an infant son, Dennis Wayne Smith and her brother, Herbert Taylor. Mamie was a member of Tar Heel Baptist Church and a former member of Sycamore Baptist Church. She was a retired Paper Tester from the Quality Control Department of Union Camp Corporation.

Left to cherish her memory is two daughters, Suzette Craun, and her husband, Steve, of Harpers Ferry, WV and Anne Copenhaver and her husband, Cope, of Newport News; two sons, Bobby Smith, and his wife, Sandy, of Newsoms and David Smith and his wife, Robin, of Sunset Harbor, NC; one sister, Elizabeth Rhodes, of Boulder, CO; eight grandchildren, Matt Craun and wife Erika; Wade Watson and wife Melody; Jamie Watson; Michelle Tomlin and husband Michael; Caleb Smith and wife Marie; Kirby Smith; Josh Tingler and wife Samantha; Robbie Hamm and twelve great-grandchildren.

Donations can be made to Interim Healthcare (hospice) in VA Beach, VA. A memorial service will be held at Wright Funeral Home, Friday, July 18, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Blane Britt officiating and in Tar Heel, NC at a later date. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
