Boykins VA. - Maedell English Fuller, 88, devoted wife of the late Henry D. Fuller and longtime resident of Boykins, VA., passed away peacefully January 21, 2008 at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, New Hampshire. Although Maedell had lived with her daughter Patricia in New Hampshire for the last 12 years she always considered Boykins her home and never lost her love of the town and friends there and in the surrounding areas of Southampton County. She was a longtime faithful member of Boykins Baptist Church and looked forward eagerly to receiving the monthly Church Newsletter. Another highlight of hers during the last few months was receiving the Town Newsletter which the staff so graciously mailed to her.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Sawyer and husband Carroll of Keene, New Hampshire; a son, Jimmy Fuller and wife Jeannie of Boykins; two grandsons, Hank Fuller of Boykins and Chris Edwards of Keene as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Sam (Earl) English, William (Peete) English and Donald Williams.
The family will receive friends at 2 pm Sunday at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins, where a memorial service will be conducted at 3 pm with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Boykins Baptist Church, Boykins, Va. 23827.
