Franklin – Madge Goodson Scott, 92, widow of Billy Michael (Bill) Scott, died January 20, 2008 in Chesterfield. She was born in Bluefield, WV, a daughter of the late Ernest Marvin and Ada Martin Goodson. A local artist and member of Blackwater Art League, Madge was especially known for her hummingbird pictures. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and the Southampton County Historical Society.
A wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Judy S. Powell and husband, Braxton, of Chesterfield; two sons, Billy Madison Scott and wife, Judy, of Charlotte, NC, Col. Richard Michael Scott, Ret. US Army, and wife, Linda, of Green Valley, Az.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday in Westhampton Memorial Park, Richmond, with the Rev. Edward Johnson officiating.
