Suffolk - Mable Mobley Kea, 74, widow of Silas S. Kea, Jr. passed away at Nansemond Pointe Healthcare Center April 26, 2008. Mable was born in Little Washington, North Carolina and was a daughter of the late Jesse C. and Bessie Edwards Mobley. She was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Edward Hawkins and a brother Jesse Ray "Tom" Mobley. Mable was a restaurant manager and in her later years, she cared for the elderly. She was a member of the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is three daughters, Kathy Creason and husband, Paul, of Wakefield, Betty Jo Vick and husband Keith of Carrsville, and Cindy Archer and husband Sonny of Wytheville; one sister Emily Ann Ferguson of Courtland; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Rob Edwards and Rev. Bill Dawson officiating.
