Carrsville – Wanda Lynn Hawkins, 53, went to be with the Lord January 1, 2019 with family and friends at her bedside.  Lynn was born in Franklin and was predeceased by her father Robert Earl Lankford.  She was a home health nurse for Comfort Keepers and was the owner of a home cleaning company.   Lynn, a tomboy as a little girl, was known as "Buddy" by her father and grew to be a loving mother and grandmother.  She was a wonderful homemaker and a hard worker.  Lynn had been a roofer, carpenter, painter, and gardener.  She loved all flowers and all animals.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Robert "Berto" T. Hawkins; her mother Emily B.  Lankford;  two daughters Jennifer Thomas (Nick) and Heather Lassiter (Josh); one sister Gwyn Holland; four grandchildren Savannah and Lizzie Collins, Marilyn Jane Lassiter, and Hunter Thomas; and Berto's children Ashley, Brittany, and Robert Hawkins, Jr.; one step-grandchild Greyson Thacker; and her beloved six dogs Annie Mae, Daisy, Cappi, Loretta, Sonny, and her favorite Miss Piggy.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM SUNDAY, January 6, 2019 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Curtis Faison officiating.  The burial will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM FRIDAY, January 4, 2019, in the funeral home and suggests that Memorial Donations be made to Partners Among Cats and Canines (PACC), c/o Becky Lowe, P.
