Franklin – Lucille Stephenson Brock, 89, passed away July 29, 2021 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  Born and raised in Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late Harry Stanley "Jack" Stephenson and Bessie Porter Seldomridge.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Elbert Lee Brock and her step-father, Archie Seldomridge.

Lucille was a graduate of Newsoms High School and was a retired Quality Control paper tester in the Technical Department at Union Camp Corporation with 24 years of service.  She was a member of Courtland Baptist Church.

Lucille loved to fish and go to yard sales.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Christine B. Goodman (Wayne) of Suffolk and Bess B. Kannan (Joey) of Franklin; a son, Edward L. Brock (Nancy) of Courtland; six grandchildren, Stephanie Goodman, Kendall (Emily) and Jason (Hillary) Brock, and Brock (Will), Stephen (Natalie), and James (Katie) Kannan; and five great grandchildren, Liam and Ellie Kannan and Tanner, Drake and Kori Lynn Brock.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Sunday, August 1, 2021 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Drew Page officiating.  Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Courtland Baptist Church.
