Franklin – Helen Louise Smith Parker, 99, widow of Wade H. Parker, passed away January 24, 2014. She was a daughter of the late Henry Lockey and Virgie Vick Smith and was predeceased by her step-mother, Mary Warren Smith; two brothers, Charlie Norman Smith and Curry Wilson Smith and four sisters, Eunice Smith Hill, Clara Smith Blythe, Frances Smith Stewart and Nell Smith Moses. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Rose Smith Breedlove, of Virginia Beach and nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2 PM Monday, January 27, 2014 at Poplar Spring Cemetery with Rev. Brent Kimlick and Rev. Sharon James officiating.
