Obituary

Carrsville – Louis Trotman Hollowell, 78, passed away January 24, 2011 at Consulate Healthcare in Windsor. He was born in Tyner, NC, the son of the late Ray F. Hollowell and Mabel Humphlett Hollowell. Louis was retired from Union Camp Corporation as a bleach plant operator after 42 years service. He was a member of the Blackwater Art League and Walters Ruritan Club, and was the owner/operator of Hollowell's Art Studio and Frame Shop.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Rosa Greene Hollowell; a daughter, Joyce Hollowell of Ivor; a son, L. Wayne Hollowell of Zuni; four grandchildren, R. Lee Jones (Jesse), Justin P. Jones (Catherine), Crystal H. Boyce (Chris), Amy Hollowell; and five great-grandchildren, Logan, Cannon, and Kendal Jones, Christopher Dunlow, and Justis Boyce.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 pm, Thursday, January, 27, 2011 at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Save the Bay Foundation, 142 West York Street, Norfolk, VA. 23510.
