Suffolk – Lois Briley Holland, 74, widow of J. Frank "Farmer Frank" Holland, passed away April 28, 2024 in VCU/MCV Medical Center.  Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Herman Ray Briley and Mattie Lou Stox Briley.  She was also predeceased by a daughter, Sonia White, and her son-in-law, Tripp.

Lois was a farmer's wife and helper, ran a produce stand, and was a cashier at the Suffolk Walmart among many other things.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kathie W. Hogg and Jill H. Peacock (Jeff); two sons, Rod F. Holland (Kathy) and Joey B. Holland (Sara); a brother, Joseph Ray Briley (Russlyn); and fifteen grandchildren, Bradley Peacock, Jeffrey Peacock III, Joshua Peacock, Rachel Holland, Brooks Holland, Katelyn Holland, JT Holland, Jake Holland, Mary Beth Ratchford, Mandy Ratchford, Joshua Ratchford, Jennifer Sylva, Oakleigh Hogg, Delaney Hogg, and Elle Hogg.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11AM Friday, May 3, 2024 in Holland Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Johnson officiating.  A reception will follow the service in Holland Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Suffolk Humane Society, 412 Kings Fork Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434.
