Richmond – Linda Young Sutton, 76, formerly of Franklin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on May 6, 2023 in Sunrise of Richmond. Born in Ewing, VA, she was a daughter of the late David and Pauline Ramsey Young. She was also predeceased by her husband, Dannie Ray Sutton, Sr.; a son, Jeffrey L. Sutton; and a sister, Brenda Sue Young Scott.

Linda was a retired Information Technology Specialist with the VA Department of Health with 34 years of service. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dannie R. Sutton, Jr. and his wife Christy of Richmond; a sister, Gladys Young Drake and her husband Randy of Franklin; two grandchildren, Andy and Brad Sutton; Billy and Debbie Sutton of Capron, VA; Jack and Cathy Sutton of Kernersville, NC; a brother-in-law, David Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Faison officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038.
