Newsoms – Linda Gail Shifflett, 65, passed away December 31, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family after a long illness.  Linda was a native of Ohio and was a retired deputy clerk for the City of Suffolk.  She was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years Charles Edward Shifflett; two sons Brian Shifflett (Jenny) of Suffolk and Jason Shifflett (Teresa) of Front Royal; four grandchildren Leah and Kayle Shifflett, Belle Vann, and Brayden Shifflett.  Linda was predeceased by her parents Ted and Geneva Roberts; a brother Harold Roberts; and two sisters Millie Logan and Helen Wagoner.

A funeral service will be held at 6PM Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Armand Jalbert officiating.   The family will receive friends in the funeral home following the service.   www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
