Carrsville – Linda Harrell Scott, 88, passed away May 21, 2025 with her family by her side.  Born and raised in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Harrell, Sr. and Mollie Delbridge Harrell.  She was also predeceased by two sisters, Mollie H. Bowles and Faye H. Green; a brother, William Henry Harrell; and a son-in-law, Richard M. "Rick" Jenison.

Linda was a 1955 graduate of Windsor High School and was a retired paper tester in the Humidity Room at Union Camp.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Theresa Scott "Terry Lynn" Jenison; a son, Dennis Mason Scott (Stephanie); a sister, Louise Jones; two brothers, Andrew J. "Jack" Harrell, Jr. and Roy Wayne "Buddy" Harrell; four grandchildren, Jeremy Jenison (Krissy) and Danny Jenison (Becky), Christopher Scott and Kevin Scott; and nine great grandchildren.
