Windsor – Linda Kay Luter Murphy, 67, passed away July 31, 2018 in Sentara Obici Hospital. Linda was born September 3, 1950, in Suffolk and grew up in Ivor and was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Cora Munford Luter. She was predeceased by two sisters Arlene Ricks and Ida May Vick. She was a graduate of Southampton High School and former employee of V. W. Joyner Packing Company.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Sidney David Murphy, Jr.; one son Joe Murphy; one daughter Lynn Murphy (Ray Holliman); four grandchildren Briana, D. J., and Kevin Murphy and Troy Hedgepeth; one sister Jo Anne Kitchen; and a special nephew Lee Kitchen.

A Graveside Funeral will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Ivor Cemetery with Pastor John Bauswell and Jon Eid officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Friday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests that memorial donations be made to Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad or Isle of Wight Christian Church. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
