Courtland – Lewis Lee Babb, 76, passed away on November 25, 2022 in his home with his family by his side.  Born in and raised in Southampton County, he was a son of the late Lewis Foster Babb and Virginia B. Babb.  He was also predeceased by his wife, Joyce Carr Babb, a grandson, Joshua Babb, and a son-in-law, Keith Tomlin.

Lewis was a 1965 graduate of Southampton High School and a retired electrician from Hercules, Inc.  He was the owner and operator of Babb's Lawn Care LLC.  Lewis was a wonderful cook and many people enjoyed his cooking especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Left to cherish his memory is two daughters, Sarah Babb and Joyce Tomlin; two sisters, Bertha B. Carr and Virginia B. Carr (John); two brothers, Ronnie F. Babb and James Lloyd Babb (Linda); five grandchildren, Justin Benton, Dustin Benton, Mariah Babb, Nate Tomlin and Zak Tomlin; five great grandchildren, Brylee, Joshua, Elijah, Eli, and Justin Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM Saturday, December 3, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home.  Per Lewis's request, please wear your jeans and favorite t-shirt. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and would like to thank Kindred Hospice, especially Angie and Towyna, for their special care.
