Lewis Q. Joyner

Franklin – Lewis Quillian Joyner, 69, passed away March 9, 2007. Born in Southampton County, he was a son of the late Edwin Hunter and Lucy Barnes Joyner and retired after 42 years of service from the Sheet Finishing Department of Union Camp Corporation. He was a former member of the National Guard and a member of High Street United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 48 years, Linda Wrenn Joyner; two daughters, Kimberly Joyner-Banty and her husband, Glenn of Sedley and Kaye W. Joyner and her boyfriend, Scott Derby, of Suffolk; three sisters, Hunter J. Cowling of Stony Creek, Elizabeth Baldwin of Franklin and Rachel J. Rhodes of Windsor and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas G. Joyner, and two sisters, Betty Brock and Anna Kitchen.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Susan Reaves and the Rev. Edward Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. The family will receive friends at the residence and suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, Mid- Atlantic Affiliate, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen , VA 23060 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
