Lewis Harding
Covington
Nov 9, 1965 — Jul 23, 2025
Drewryville
Drewryville – Lewis Harding Covington, 59, passed away peacefully July 23, 2025. He was a son of the late Alex Leroy Covington and Natalie Coker Covington and was also predeceased by his sister, Linda Covington Burk, and his nephew, Christopher.
Lewis had a lifetime of health struggles but he had amazing strength and never wanted anyone to know he was suffering. He was always helping someone in the community and was a great handyman who could fix almost anything. Lewis was known as the life of the party and his personality was unforgettable.
He loved to fish, rabbit hunt, and coon hunt. Lewis was known for his rabbit dogs and his bluetick Duke. Sadly, he had to give up hunting when he could no longer walk to the trees or in the woods. He loved animals and was considered the "Dog Whisperer".
Lewis is survived by his sister, Nancy Covington Cobb and her husband Charles; his brother, Travis Covington and his wife Kay; niece Kaitlin Woodruff (James); nephew, T. J. Covington (Shannon); great niece, Angel Covington; brother-in-law, Randy Burk; and a special nephew, Hunter Ezell. He is also survived by an uncle, Greg Coker (Linda), numerous cousins, many close friends, his Fas Shop family, a very special "sister" Jean Blackburn, his "poundog" Chloe, and his princess Slie.
Per Lewis' wishes, no services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Emporia-Greensville Humane Society or Capron Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
