Suffolk – Leslie Allen "Les" VanHoose, 71, passed away on July 22, 2024 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  Born in Kentucky, he was a son of the late Clyde and Freda Kunkle VanHoose.  He was also predeceased by a son, Justin Carr; a sister, Carolyn Shafer; and a brother Don VanHoose.

Les attended Indiana University and was a self-employed Horticulturist.  He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, making fishing lures, and playing guitar.

Left to cherish his memory is a son, Joshua VanHoose; a sister, Sandy Clevenger; a grandson, Tanner Carr; and his former wife, Darleen VanHoose.

Services will be private.
