Newsoms – Leslie Paylor Bryant, 84, died December 6, 2007. He was born in Southampton County, a son of the late Johnnie Sterling and Sallie Edwards Bryant and retired after 30 years of service from Union Camp Corporation where he was a laboratory technician. A member of Rock Church of Franklin, he served as Senior Deacon for 30 years and was a Trustee.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Nellie Worrell Bryant; two daughters, Betty Mulder and husband, John, of Courtland and Nancy Carl and husband, Jim, of Aurora, Colorado; his brother, Raymond D. Bryant and two grandchildren, Bethany Carl and Andy Garcia. He was predeceased by four sisters, Virginia Beale, Elsie Harrell, Pearl Smith, Ruby Duncan and three brothers, James T. Bryant, J. Sterling Bryant and Willie R. Bryant.
The funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Sunday at Rock Church of Franklin with Rev. David Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms.
