Franklin – Lena Kirkland Wall, 94, widow of Claudia Wallace "Pete" Wall, passed away May 28, 2020 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  Born in Sussex County, Lena was the daughter of the late Joseph Thomas Kirkland and Sarah Harrup Kirkland.  She was also predeceased by two brothers Joel Kirkland and Lewis Kirkland.

Lena was a co-owner of Pete's Sheet Metal Works and a seamstress specializing in custom drapery.  She was a founding member of Franklin Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Franklin Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Claudia Gene Wall (Betty), two grandchildren, Tracy Wall and Barry Wall, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Village at Woods Edge for their wonderful care.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Poplar Spring Cemetery with Rev. Steve Gibson officiating.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Baptist Church or to any cancer or heart disease organization for research.
