Ayden, NC – Kevin Dallas Ricks, 50, passed away February 24, 2025.  Born in Franklin and raised in Branchville, VA, he was a 1992 graduate of Southampton High School, was a long-time truck driver for Mangum's Transport and was currently a driver for MedEx Medical Transport.

Kevin is survived by his parents, W. H. and Debbie Ricks; three daughters, Lanie Ricks (Sully), Natalie Ricks, and Kadence Ricks; a sister, Karen Tharrington (Don); two nephews, Cody Dickens (Chloe) and Wyatt Tharrington; an aunt, Becky Newton (Mike); two uncles, Keith Ricks (Mica) and Charles Best (Virginia); and his girlfriend, Lisa Carr, and her children, Thomas Johnson and Zachary Carter.  He is predeceased by his son, Tyler Ricks, and his grandparents, Floyd and Lorraine Best and Henry and Joyce Ricks.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3PM Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, VA and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Lake Country SPCA, 11764 US 15, Clarksville, VA 23927 (434-374-8076).
