Murfreesboro, NC – Kevin Richard McCormack, 67, passed away January 14, 2022.  Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was a son of the late John Thomas McCormack and Shirley Patricia McFaddan McCormack.

Kevin was a retired forester for Union Camp, International Paper and the Commonwealth of Virginia.  He was a former supervisor for Enviva and recently a forester for Mike Neal and Associates in Ahoskie.

He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and fishing and loved to travel.  He coordinated fundraising for CHKD through Log a Load for Kids and played Santa every year.  Kevin was a member of Hunterdale Ruritan Club, National Foresty Association, Ducks Unlimited, and the Broken Arrow Hunt Club in Drewryville.  He was a volunteer for the Southampton County Fair.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 46 years, Deborah Puzzio McCormack; two daughters, Meghan and Lindsey McCormack; a sister, Patricia Anthony; a brother, Jack McCormack; and twin grandchildren, Cayden and Keagan McCormack.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests that memorial donations be made to CHKD.
