Boykins - Kermit Glenn Francis, 78, passed away April 27, 2014 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Kermit was a lifelong resident of Southampton County, a son of the late Jesse Carter and Louise Vick Francis. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Windell Yeattes Francis who passed away April 18, 2014. He was a retired farmer and a member of Capron United Methodist Church. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Melanie F. Washington; one son, K. Glenn Francis, Jr. and his wife Beth; his two special grandsons, Jason and Jordan Francis; two sisters, Kay Johnson and her husband J.B. and Peggy Vann.

A visitation will be, Tuesday, April 29, at 6 PM at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin followed by a 7 PM funeral service with Pastor Nancy Palmer officiating. The burial will be private and the family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Capron United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 159, Capron, VA 23829. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
