Boykins-Kenneth Wayne Allen, 72, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at his residence with his family by his bedside. He was born September 8, 1939 in Southampton County, a son of the late John Eldridge and Lottie Wheeler Allen. He was predeceased by two brothers Bobby Ray and Jay Allen. Kenny was an army veteran of the Korean War, and was retired from Whiteway Foods and from Georgia Pacific. Kenny was a former fireman with the Branchville Volunteer Fire Department, and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his spouse of 46 years, Lois Jenkins Allen; his daughter, Terry A. Bolton and her husband Danny of Boykins, his aunt Emma Little of Seaboard, NC and several cousins.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2pm Friday, September 7, 2012 in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, with the Rev. Raymond Bunn, officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30pm on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel.
