Courtland – Kelly Rae Jones Carthen, 42, passed away February 22, 2020 in VCU/MCV Medical Center in Richmond.  She was born in Franklin, a 1995 graduate of Franklin High School and earned an Associate's Degree from Paul D. Camp Community College.

Kelly was predeceased by her mother Lessie Battle Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her father Wayne Duffy Jones; a son Will Carthen, III; a sister Courtney J. Wood (Jamie); her boyfriend Bill Savage; aunts and uncles Debbie and Lynn March, Carol Jones, Carol and Grant Brock, and Dewayne and Debbie Lambert; nieces and nephews Jason Warrick and Kimberly, Vivian, and Morgan Wood; and several cousins.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 from 6 to 8 PM in Wright Funeral Home.
