Sedley – Keith D. Horne, of Sedley, Virginia, passed away on June 11, 2026 after a five-year battle with liver disease—a challenge he faced with remarkable strength, determination, and, true to form, a healthy dose of humor. He was 67 years old.

Born on June 17, 1958, in Jacksonville, Florida, Keith was the son of the late Donald and Peggy Horne. He graduated from Frank W. Cox High School and went on to build a life centered around family, hard work, friendship, and making people laugh.

Keith was the beloved husband of Shari, devoted father to Ashley (Aaron) and Nicholas (Shannon), and proud Grandpa to Hudson, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his in-laws, Bob and Pat Ballard.  While his family was always his greatest accomplishment, many would argue that his second greatest love was his big truck. As a lifelong truck driver, Keith spent countless miles on the road doing what he loved, always with a story to tell and a joke ready for anyone willing to listen.

Keith never met a stranger. He was the life of every party, the first one on the dance floor, and often the last one to leave. Whether he was perfecting his golf game, showing off his dance moves, telling jokes, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, he had a way of making every gathering brighter.

Even during his illness, Keith refused to let liver disease define him. He met each challenge with grit, resilience, and the same sense of humor that carried him through life. He taught those around him that strength isn't just about fighting hard—it's about finding reasons to smile along the way.

Keith leaves behind a family who adored him, friends who will miss his laughter, and countless memories filled with joy, stories, and probably a few harmless jokes. His legacy lives on in the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the reminder that life is best lived with a little laughter, a lot of love, and maybe a good dance move or two.

In true Keith fashion, if there's a golf course, dance floor, or shiny big rig in heaven, he's already made himself right at home.  He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6PM Thursday, June 18, 2026 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Kelby Lilly officiating.
