Kayre Phelps Harrup

Branchville – Kayre Ann Phelps Harrup, 78, passed away October 15, 2026 in her home. A life-long resident of Branchville, she was a daughter of the late Franklin Wilton Phelps, Sr. and Amanda Miller Phelps-Overby. She was also predeceased by an infant brother, Dorsey Franklin Phelps, and a brother-in-law, Glenn Barrett.

Kayre was a 1966 graduate of Southampton High School and a former Town Clerk/Treasurer for the Town of Branchville. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church formerly known as Branchville Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Robert Lee Harrup, Jr.; two daughters, Cindy H. Flauter (Matthew) and Amy H. Coggeshall (Jerry), all of Suffolk; a sister, Nancy Phelps Barrett of Branchville; a brother, Franklin Wilton Phelps, Jr.; three grandchildren, Jonathan Jerry Coggeshall, Andrew Robert Flauter, and Aaron Wayne Coggeshall; a niece, Kristen Phelps.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2PM Tuesday, October 20, 2026 in Beechwood Cemetery with Pastor Randy Miller officiating.
