Franklin – Kathryn Harrell "Kitty" Earley, 90, passed away October 15, 2020.  Born in Colerain, NC, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Harrison Harrell and Nettie Mae Valentine Harrell.  Kitty was also predeceased by two brothers, Ollie and David Harrell and a sister, Nancy H. Draughn.

Kitty was a 1947 graduate of Colerain High School and attended Kings Secretarial School.  She was a retired secretary for Franklin City Schools and was a member of Woodmen of the World and Franklin Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 64 years, Willie Merton "Bill" Earley, Jr.; a daughter, Suzanne Valentine Earley; a son, W. M. "Chip" Earley, III and his wife, Honor Reese Earley, all of Smithfield; two sisters-in-law, Jackie Harrell of Winston Salem, NC and Dianne Harrell of Colerain, NC; one brother-in-law, Harvey Draughn of Clemons, NC; and nieces and nephews.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, services will be held at a later date.  The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Franklin Baptist Church.
