Franklin – Kathleen Edwards Wade, 89, widow of Clifton H. Wade, died May 25, 2008 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Hurley and Martha Cobb Edwards. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and caregiver, Kathy Wade; her son, Eddie Wade and wife, Barbara, all of Franklin; one granddaughter, Kim Marks and husband, Neal, of Courtland; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Mariah Marks; one sister, Leatha Whitley of Sedley; and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wade was predeceased by two sisters, Bessie Bradshaw and Bonnie Askew.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday at Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Sharon James officiating.
