Katherine Ricks Vaughan Cobb, 94, of Shands Drive died December 3, 2017. She was the widow of R. Gordon Cobb and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Collin Ricks Vaughan. Mrs. Cobb was a graduate of Longwood College. When living in Lynchburg earlier she was Assistant to the Dean of Students at Randolph Macon Woman's College. Mrs. Cobb was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church, the Southampton County Historical Society and Cypress Cove Country Club. Formerly she was a member of the Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and had served as a Pink Lady.

She is survived by a sister Marjorie V. Skidmore and a nephew Colin Randolph Skidmore of Stamford, Connecticut.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland.
