Franklin – Edna Katherine "Kat" Dunlow, 96, went to her heavenly home peacefully April 17, 2026 at the Windsor Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center in Windsor, VA.  She was the daughter of the late Irvin and Pauline Baugham, and was the widow of Luther "Jeff" Dunlow.  She is survived by her son, JL Dunlow (Darlene) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandson, Michael Dunlow (Carol) of Woodbridge, VA; her son-in-law, Jimmy Cooke (Jean) of Pendleton, NC; and many nieces and nephews. Katherine was also pre-deceased by her daughter, Kathy Cooke; her grandson, Lewis Dunlow; and her three sisters, Rose Drewry, Evelyn Baines and Bonnie Dunlow.

Katherine, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was born in Newsoms, VA and was a graduate of Newsoms High School. After marrying the love of her life, Luther "Jeff" Dunlow, they moved to Franklin where they called home and raised their family. She was a retired paper tester at Union Camp Corporation. She was a member and former deacon of Franklin Baptist Church where she served in many different capacities. Katherine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, painting, sewing, line dancing and serving others.

A graveside service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery in Boykins, VA on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 2 PM with Rev. Steve Gibson officiating.   In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
