Sebrell – June Carol Joyner Forrest, 62, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence Foster and Vera Presson Joyner.
June was a substitute teacher for both the City of Franklin and Southampton County Public Schools and was a member of Sebrell United Methodist Church and Phi Theta Kappa. She was a caring and unselfish person who was always looking for ways to grow in knowledge every day.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph R. "JR" Forrest, III; children, Patrick, Scott, Jean, Dori, Ann, Debbie, Ricky, Johnny, and Mikayla; siblings, Bruce, Tap, Elaine, Walter, and Mike and numerous grandchildren and other extended family.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2011 at Sebrell United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Barn Tavern Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
