Boykins – Julia Griffin Williams, 81, passed away December 28, 2024 at her home with her family at her bedside. Julia was a native of Southampton County and was a daughter of the late Erastus R. "Pat" Griffin and Vernie Miles Griffin.

Julia was a 1962 graduate of Southampton High School and was the Financial Director for Southampton County for 39.5 years. She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church which she loved dearly. She loved her Lord, her family and many animals on The Farm.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, G. Harold Williams, a daughter, Jennifer D. Vincent and her husband Ronnie, a son, Scott A. Doyle and his wife Raechelle, all of Boykins, a brother, Ervin L. Pressley and his wife Shirley, five grandchildren Chris Vincent (Emily), Jeffrey Vincent (Anna), Megan Vincent, Alayna and Grace Doyle, and one great grandchild, Mia Vincent, and Harold's daughter, Christina Williams (Fredrik).

A funeral will be held 1PM Tuesday December 31, 2024 in Boykins Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Gibson officiating. The burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday December 30, 2024 from 6 to 8 pm in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and the Care Advantage caregivers.
