Franklin - Julia Faison "Judi" Darden, 74, passed away June 18, 2024 in her daughter's home in Poquoson.  Born and raised in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Woodrow Faison and Ada Lee Baker Faison.   She was also predeceased by her husband, James Clinton "Bro" Darden.

Judi was a graduate of Lear Seigler Institute with a degree in computer programming.  She also had a Certified Nursing Assistant license.  She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha for over 40 years (a women's service organization) and was a member of North Run Baptist Church in Richmond.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jamie Darden (Amy); three step children, Karen Gosnell, Michelle Cleaton, and Michael Turner (Tonya); and a sister, Susan Faison.

A memorial service will be held at 2PM Friday, June 21, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Kerry Smith officiating.  Burial will be private in Rosemont Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the North Run Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
