Franklin – Judy Kay Middleton, 74, widow of Elijah Middleton, passed away February 12, 2025 in her home with family by her side.  Born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, and raised in Suffolk, she was a daughter of the late James Smith Barnes and Irene Brown Barnes.  She was also predeceased by a son, Richard Lynn Bailey, Jr.; three brothers, James S. Barnes, Jr., Robert Lee Barnes, and Thomas Wayne "Tommy" Barnes; and a great grandchild, Renea.

Judy was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Cheryl A. Jones (Brian) of Hampton and Cynthia M. Condiff (Ronald) of Grovetown, GA; a sister, Carolyn Bryant (John) of Franklin; four grandchildren, Kristine Jones, Amanda Jones, Brian Russell Jones, Jr. (Shannon), Reagan Condiff; nine great grandchildren, Natalie, Haileigh, Brayden, Kole, Kaden, Leaira, Mali, Trey, and Brian III "Bud"; and nephews, Drew Holland (Lisa) and Matthew Holland (Rickell).

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their care.
