Franklin - Judy Lassiter Britt, 69, of Franklin, VA passed away on June 24, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 10, 1956 to the late Jessie and Nettie Lassiter. She is predeceased by a brother, Melvin Lassiter, and a sister, Mildred Edwards.

Judy worked at a print shop for many years, and she was also an embroidery technician. Her most important job titles were "Mom" and "Nanny". The love she had for her children and grandchildren had no limits and flowed endlessly. She will be remembered for her faith, kindness, work ethic, and willingness to help others.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of almost 51 years, James Lynell Britt Sr.; her children, James Britt Jr. (Kristy) and Tracey Benson (Travis); her grandchildren, Ashley Whitley (Duane), Tristin Britt (Matyson), Madisyn, Kadence, and Hunter Britt, Reagan Boals (Noah), Riley and Ryann Benson; her great grandchildren, Carsyn and Jace Whitley and Tucker Britt; her siblings, Barbara Ricks (McCoy), Pete Lassiter (Charlotte), Jerry Lassiter, Carolyn Ricks (Jerry), and Robin Guthrie; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

The family invites loved ones to stop by the family home to reminisce, share stories, and celebrate Judy's life. Services will be private.
