Franklin – Judith Rose "Judy" Ballance, 81, passed away April 5, 2024 in Sentara Obici Hospital.  Born in Morganton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rebecca Clark Rose.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Mack Russell Ballance, and two brothers, Doyle Rose and Kenneth Rose.

Judy was a 1960 graduate of Cradock High School and a retired office manager of James L. Camp Jr. YMCA.  She was a member of Kingdom Impact Church.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Susan Ballance Denton (Eric); a son, Paul Russell Ballance (Tate); a sister, Kathleen R. Gies; and seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Amber, Russell, Emily, and Abbey Ballance and Samuel and Joseph Denton (Madison).

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Monday, April 8, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Kidd officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Kingdom Impact, 26151 Delaware Rd., Franklin, VA 23851.
