Boykins – Joyce Edith Premaza, 48, died September 22, 2007 in Richmond. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa, the daughter of Miriam Petersen Premaza and the late Joseph Andrew Premaza, and was the life partner of Patrick Newman. She was a Financial Analyst with Anthem Blue Cross for 25 years.
Survivors also include two sisters, Fran Edwards and husband, Glenn, and Dorothy Hickman and husband, Wilton, all of Boykins; nieces and nephews, Craig Hickman and wife, Michaela, Daryl Cox and wife, Milena, Heather Weston and husband, Jamie, Daniel Cox, Brian Cox, Ginger Barner; great-niece, Kelcey Weston, and great-nephews, Douglas and Andrew Hickman.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday at Beechwood Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Baugham officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel and suggests memorials be made to the Central Virginia Food Bank, 1415 Rhoadmiller Street, Richmond, Va. 23220, or your local food bank.
