Sedley – Joyce Bradshaw Lowe, 81, passed away on August 16, 2020, in the East Pavilion.  She was born July 24, 1939 to the late Robert O. Bradshaw and Daphine W. Bradshaw and was also predeceased by a baby sister, Ellen Gayle Bradshaw, and a brother, Robert Wayne Bradshaw.

Joyce was a life-long resident of Southampton County.  She was a graduate of Southampton High School and attended Paul D. Camp Community College in the 70's.  Joyce worked for the Clerk of the Court for Southampton County and later was director of senior citizen's groups that met at four locations each week.  She loved people and made many friends.  Joyce was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church, a member of the adult choir, and nursery director for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Sedric F. Lowe; a daughter Gayle L. Gray (Doug); a son Robert Sedric "Bob" Lowe (Trisia); four grandchildren, Kimberly G. Bratton (Brian), James Robert "Bobby" Lowe (Crystal), Kelly G. Joyner (Brian), Rebecca L. Geary (Shawn); two great granddaughters, Leah C. Geary and Olivia G. Lowe; a sister, Betty B. Galloway; two brothers, David W. Bradshaw and Gary N. Bradshaw; a sister-in-law Thelma L. Raiford; and 19 nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held with Pastor Richard Inman officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to Black Creek Baptist Church Music Ministry, 34163 Vicksville Rd., Franklin, VA 23851
