Newsoms – Joyce Early Joyner, 65, passed into the loving arms of Jesus December 16, 2024 in her home with her family by her side.  Born in North Carolina and raised in Windsor, VA, she was a daughter of the late James Walker Early, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Penwell Early.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Michael Elliott Joyner.

Joyce was a private duty nurse and attended Kingdom Impact Church.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Amy Jo Joyner and Denise Lynn Joyner; four sisters, Cynthia Tarkington (Sammy), Beverly Pemberton, Melinda Stiles, and Patricia Early; two brothers, James W. Early, Jr. (Eva) and Jeffrey Early; a granddaughter, Brooklyn Elliott Schwartz, who was the apple of her eye; many nieces and nephews; four fur babies, Shiloh, Milo, Mikeh, and Waffles; a cat, Mary Jane; a bird, Molly; and a hamster, Ricky.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Kingdom Impact at a later date.
